Gills Creek Marina

Gills Creek Marina LLC., formerly Foxport Marina, has received a substantial facelift. The new owners, Tom & Brenda Staab, have made significant strides in renovating the Marina and Lodge.

Accomplishments include:

• Installed new septic fields, tank, pump back system.
• Stabilized over 900’ of shoreline with Rip Rap.
• Painted & re-roofed the store
• Replaced old gas dispensers with two 24/7 credit card enabled dispensers. We use only Non-Ethanol Grade 89 Gasoline.
• Replaced entire decking at store front and fuel pump stations.
• Added Vacuum Pump out station for boat heads.
• Added new retaining wall.
• Completely renovated the (4) one bedroom lodge rooms. They opened successfully on the 4th of May 2012.
• Waiting on permit from AEP to renovate the existing 9 house boats slips (To left of store). Expect to be complete in June/July 2012.
• Waiting on permit from AEP to install two 14-slip floating covered docks. They will replace the 15 slips to the right of the store. Expect to be complete in June/July 2012.
• Final piece for this year will be Landscaping and ground maintenance. Please be patient as we plan on making the grounds as attractive as the rest of the new features.

All plans for waterfront improvements are subject to Appalachian Power and Health Department approval. Now open for the season and just hosted the 44th Optimist Club's fishing tournament (May 4th-6th 2012). This is the 44th consecutive year that this Marina has hosted this great event. We want Gills Creek Marina to be a popular choice for tournaments and other charitable events. The store and Lodge is being managed by Reba Dillon.
